Eric Lebel


He spend 25 years developing tools for high-end computer animation. During 10 years at Pixar animation studios, Eric designed and built tools for tasks ranging from animation data editing and direct-manipulation to complex rig construction user interfaces for Pixar characters. Eric’s numerous film credits include A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Cars. Prior to Pixar, Eric began work at SOFTIMAGE in Montreal. Joining as employee number eight in 1989, he spent the next six years developing some of the earliest successful graphical user interfaces for high-end 3-D animation. Softimage software was used to create the famous dinosaurs in the movie “Jurassic Park” and was later aquired by Microsoft.Eric graduated with a BAC in computer science in 1989 from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada.
